SRSU celebrates its student employees that work tirelessly alongside our departments for National Student Employment Week, from April 14-18. Every day this week, we will highlight groups of our student employees in part with Financial Aid and @srsucareers. Next up are the amazing student workers for the University Police Department!

__________

From the beginning, Lisbeth Dominguez (left) and Rosa Ruiz (middle) have always been very hard working individuals, who have gone above and beyond to get work done. They both always come in ready to get the work day started and ready to help out however they can. They both have played major roles in UPD’s transformation, from helping clear out and clean up the office, to demonstrating excellent customer service and going the extra mile to help out anyone who comes by the office, including the officers and administration. Both will be dearly missed and difficult to replace once they graduate.

Let's keep the love going for another group of student employees in @srsureslife - the Maintenance Assistants!
__________

The Maintenance Assistant (MA) team is an essential part of Residential Living. They are typically the first responders to maintenance requests from anything from changing a lightbulb to troubleshooting air conditioner problems. If the maintenance assistants can not fix it on their own, they can identify what the problem is specifically so that physical plant can work more efficiently and alleviate the time it would take them to identify the issues.
Special thanks to MA Joel, MA Joshua, and MA Tabias!

__________

“Our Resident Assistants (RAs) are phenomenal! They are a dedicated group of student leaders who play a critical role in supporting and caring for our residential students. Living within the communities they serve, RAs are often the first to respond—whether it's a minor concern or a major crisis. They offer a listening ear, connect students to vital resources, and help create a sense of comfort and belonging during challenging moments, both personal and academic. Beyond emotional and peer support, our RAs help maintain the safety and security of our residential communities. Through a 24/7, 365-day duty rotation, they remain consistently available to ensure that students feel safe, seen and supported. Their work is often behind the scenes but deeply impactful. We appreciate their heart, resilience and the genuine care they bring to our campus every single day.”

Shoutout to (from left to right front row) RA Arianna, RA Ale, RA Alysa, RA BreAnna, RA Maddy, (from left to right back row) RA Chris, RA Ari, RA Aubrey, RA Beto G, RA Rachael, RA Beto M, RA Jacob, and RA Roman!
