The Honorable Judge Baldemar Garza, 1983 graduate of Sul Ross State University, will deliver the keynote address for the spring commencement ceremonies. The Alpine ceremony will be held on Friday, May 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Pete P. Gallego Center. The Eagle Pass ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the International Center for Trade.
Both ceremonies will be livestreamed on on our YouTube page at the links in our bio.

Nominees must have applied and been cleared to graduate in May or graduated in the fall or summer of the previous year, have an overall 3.0 GPA, displayed qualities of good citizenship and leadership, be active in students and/or community activities and not be a previous recipient of the award."

This week is the #NationalVolunteerWeek, and we are celebrating our outstanding #Lobo volunteers at SRSU.
Caitlyn Pena '24 is being honored with the Gold Medal for the #PresidentsVolunteerServiceAward. Caitlyn is active on campus as an undergraduate Political Science student and athlete for both the volleyball and tennis teams. She participates in several student organizations on campus, in both leadership and membership roles. Off campus, she volunteers in various local and regional organizations, in Alpine and El Paso, her hometown. Overall this year, Caitlyn has volunteered 322 hours. This May, Caitlyn will graduate from SRSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Thank you and congratulations, Caitlyn!
