SRSU celebrates its student employees that work tirelessly alongside our departments for National Student Employment Week, from April 14-18. Every day this week, we will highlight groups of our student employees in part with Financial Aid and @srsucareers.

The student workers at @srsucampusactivities are the backbone of many of our university events on and off campus. They bring the party wherever they go by providing audio and visual services, food and drinks, and providing many fun moments for our Lobos. From Bingo to Pool Parties, collaborating with @srsureslife and @sulross_recreation, running the Game Room at the UC, public events hosted in the Espino Center and Marshall Auditorium, and live music with @srsumusicclub and @srsuawakening, the atmosphere they aim to bring our students and the community is always in a "go big or go home" nature. Special thanks to Serena Escobar, Rafael Benavides, Anthony Morales, Anthony Miranda, Andrew Martinez, Tyren Dews, Christen Barnwell, Travyon Young, DeAndre Jackson, Xscaret Delgado and Diego Dominguez for your hard work, motivation, and dedication to serving students.

The @srsuadmissions student workers are the bonafide faces of the university, giving campus tours and being student leaders in their individual majors, clubs and teams. Their charisma, spirit, and Lobo pride always bring the best out of everyone they work with. Their abilities to connect with others and be approachable and friendly while mentoring our newest Lobos is admirable and outstanding. Thank you (left to right) Justin Quinonez, Andrea Iniguez, Keyla Carrasco, Brianna Cruz, Cassie Espinoza, and Mia Espinoza for all you do!

Financial Aid student workers assist with student check-in for those looking to meet with staff, and provide valuable support to the Enrollment Management team by helping with campus tours and institutional events. They also bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong work ethic to
every task they take on. Whether assisting with administrative duties, supporting team projects, or
helping with day-to-day operations, they consistently go above and beyond to ensure everything
runs smoothly. Special thanks to (Alpine) Ricardo Rodriguez, Aile Loya, Winsor Johnson-Andrews, Ana Rocha, Angel Lugo, (Del Rio) Ana Dominguez, Arturo Zamora (Eagle Pass) Rolando Trevino, Esmeralda Martinez, Brenda Calvo, and April Cordova.
Congratulations to Retention Specialist Samantha Sanchez (left) and Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations Clayton Garcia (right) who were each presented with the 2025 Bar-SR-Bar Award by President Carlos Hernandez on Tuesday at the Morgan University Center. Sul Ross State University employees are nominated by their peers and chosen by the Staff Excellence Award Committee. In addition to ceremonial recognition, the winners receive a $1,000 stipend.

From the beginning, Lisbeth Dominguez (left) and Rosa Ruiz (middle) have always been very hard working individuals, who have gone above and beyond to get work done. They both always come in ready to get the work day started and ready to help out however they can. They both have played major roles in UPD’s transformation, from helping clear out and clean up the office, to demonstrating excellent customer service and going the extra mile to help out anyone who comes by the office, including the officers and administration. Both will be dearly missed and difficult to replace once they graduate.
